The Relationship Every Man Needs
Establishing our personal relationship with our Father in Heaven.

The Relationship Every Man Needs . . .
The relationship every man needs . . .
From infancy to adults, men desire closeness with other men emotionally to give us a natural security as men – wholesome, and stable relationships with other men – we are made that way. Many men never had such a relationship as boys growing up and now as adult men – some crave that relationship with a man because it was never satisfied throughout their entire lives.
Matthew 6 – There is a Father in Heaven for us. Receiving the Father’s Son, Jesus Christ as our Savior, makes God the Father – our Father. He sees, He knows and understands us completely, and He provides for ALL of our needs.
- Our Father in Heaven saw mans physical and emotional needs and provided them in giving him a wife – a woman to complete him as a human being and to meet all of his physical needs. (Genesis 2:18-19)
- Our Father in Heaven knows our emotional needs. He often tells us how much He loves us, watches over us, will never leave or forsake us. He keeps us in His hand and no one can remove us. Nothing can separate us from His love, His presence, or our union with Him (Romans 8:31-39).
- Our Father in Heaven knows what we are thinking, He knows us completely, and He knows how to help us in our daily needs and in temptation. I Chronicles 28:9 “for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts.” He always makes a way to escape in every temptation. 1 Corinthians 10:13
What some men do to resolve the need . . .
“Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature (man’s body), more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.” Romans 1:25
The physical pleasure and relationship with a man will not satisfy us spiritually and emotionally as the relationship with God the Father. If you are married, is having extramarital relationships worth the risk of losing your wife and family?
The result throughout history and today . . .
“For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.” Romans 1:26-27
STD’s are sometimes passed along as the result of a physical relationship outside of our marriages with our wives – these physical afflictions are the promised consequence that God gives as a result of not living according to His divine order in marriage.
A physical relationship cannot permanently satisfy or replace an emotional need with a man. Usually most men will continue to involve themselves with more men while not being completely satisfied.
God, in His love to us, gives a fair warning . . .
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. Romans 1:28-32
My friend, God can satisfy – He is GOD.
John 4 – Jesus deals with the woman at the well about the human heart need with the relationship with the Father in Heaven – Jesus told her that “the Father seeketh such to worship Him.” This woman tried to find satisfaction with five husbands and now divorced and living with a sixth man – and still dissatisfied.
- Satisfaction. Complete and total satisfaction is complete contentment with what we have. The craving, desire is fulfilled – by a right relationship with our Father in Heaven. He satisfies completely by fulfilling the God shaped void in our hearts that no Dad or earthly person can fulfill.
- The woman at the well had been living what so many of us have been living – trying to fulfill the craving desire for a relationship that we don’t have – but need. Her past was missing what she couldn’t find until she knew the Lord.
- My friend, the Father is seeking you, He desires to give you full satisfaction with His relationship that will never end and we can have without interruption. A relationship with God the Father fulfills and satisfies every craving desire that is in us as human beings. This is what the woman at the well realized – and she put her faith in The Word of the Father.
God the Father WANTS a personal relationship with you and me.
God the Father sent His son, Jesus Christ, to be our Savior to cleanse us from all of our sin and meet all of our needs as men. When we ask God to forgive us our sin, God does exactly that.
- “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23
- “Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures” I Corinthians 15:3
- “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” Acts 16:31
- “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
- “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9-10
My Friend, will you please consider these words and believe them? I would beg you to trust Jesus Christ as your Savior and know that there is a Father in Heaven who loves you and wants you to do just that – so He can satisfy you in the relationship that every man needs.
